Your story is so moving. Thank you, first, for sharing it here. I'm a new mixed media artist (self-taught also)--but from a long line of professional artists. I'm slowly making this dream of mine into a reality and it's been challenging in this economy. I love your fearlessness & advice to 'follow your heart.' I have received great feedback from many people and am selling pieces here and there (and doing a few commissions). So much to learn, but I love finding fellow artists such as yourself who can say...YOU CAN DO IT! I need to hear that! Thanks again...your work is beautiful and inspiring.

Hi, I loved reading your story....I recently sold a retail store and have been fumbling around in my head for what I want to do next....I use to have a baby bedding business out of my homes years ago while my boys were babies....then the store emerged out of that, which was a gift store...I truly miss the creative side, and the relationships that you build with your customers...I am working as a parttime bookkeeper right now and feel a little stifled...considering going back into the quilt making..but at the same time I make and sell biscotti cookies...which I am still doing...I would love to market these on the internet, but have no idea how to build a webpage or the legal part that goes into selling food or any other product on the internet...your story was very inspirational...yes like you said follow your heart and do what you love, that is something that I have been telling my sons all their lives, as they watched me grow in my buisness....but now I am on the other side of the fence...and I feel like I need to jump back out there again...in these bad ecomomic times I wonder if this is the right time to take the jump...
The internet like you said has connected so many people together, the blogs are amazing...I am not on one..but yes you can spend hours just looking in amazement...
Any feed back would be greatly appreciated..thanks..Bridget
